Well... time has passed.  

It's officially been one year since I've posted anything on my deviant art account.  It's probably been longer than that since I left my last comment.  The last comment left on my user page was in January 2006.  

What's new?  I don't know.  Nothing, everything, too much, too little.  I'm not particularly close to anyone on here, so it's safe to say I won't be disappointing anyone by posting, or disappointing anyone if I didn't post at all.

So this has likely been abandoned for the time being, I have several things going on in life right now, and haven't had much time to work on any of the photos I had hoped to upload.

I've now completed the Wrecker Series.  I think I've gotten everything out of that set of photos that I could.  There's a few other photos, but I don't think I could make them into something I would like enough to post.  

If you haven't checked out this series, please do.  I really like how about 6/8 of them turned out, and would appreciate some comments on them.  

Wrecker Series
For those of you that aren't too busy to comment, please feel free to comment on my Wrecker Series of photos.  These were all taken at the Saskatoon Buck's Auto Parts which is one of the best places for cheap parts.  They have a pre-1975 section, which is where I spent most of my time taking photos.  I have a few more that I'm planning on posting, but I wanted to bring attention to what I've got done now.  They also had a Ford Torino done up just like the Starsky and Hutch car, which made me laugh.  I wasn't too surprised to see that at the wreckers.   


Active?
I haven't been as active as much recently, partially because of that Saskatchewan Trucking Association website.  Basically, 3 days before it was to be completed, they called me and informed me that they wanted a total redesign.  This was because the marketing company they were having do their trade-show booth display and brochures got wind of them doing a redesign on the website, and said that they should all look like each other, and presented them with a 2nd option.  While I get the feeling they don't think the option that the marketing company is as attractive as my design might be, they do feel everything should be tied together.  So they want me to work with the mockup PDF to make a new design.

Designer is a bad word
Extended from the last point, designer is a bad word.  The mockup PDF that this 'designer' gave me is awful.  Clearly this 'designer' knows diddly squat about websites.  There were things in this mockup that no amount of code could do.  This 'designer' thinks that you can just move things around like you can in Illustrator or something.  Well, here's some news.  No, you can't just move that stuff around.  I found myself looking at their website design and thinking "Holy f*ck!  How the f*ck am I going to do this?!".  So I booked that PDF off to my resident coder and genius unit3 and had him give me his thoughts.  I think together we're going to work something out that will look similar to the mockup, but will actually work out well to web standards.  So basically, if you're a designer, please read a few manuals on HTML, PHP and CSS, and then design website according to web standards.  

Summary
So that's pretty much all that's new in my life.  Friday night unit3 and shanya are coming into town and we're going to the Fluffgirls Burlesque Show at the Gaslight Saloon.  I'm a little nervous about the crowds that will be there, so I'm playing on the side of paranoia and caution and going after work with some other people that are supposed to be coming.  Also, I really need to redo my joural.  It's pretty ugly.
